Meet Our Staff
Marsha Charles
MS, NCC, CSP, LPC
(Founder/Licensed Clinician)
Helping others understand how the mind and body are connected is why I started Change Your Mind. Realizing that we have the power to make significant changes in our physical, physiological, and emotional wellness can benefit those experiencing symptoms of anxiety and trauma.
I wanted to share holistic interventions that work with psychotherapy to integrate the functioning of our bodies and our minds to enhance wellness.
I’ve been a licensed professional counselor since 2002. My diverse background in the field of psychology has spanned over 30 years, and includes working with children, teens, adults, geriatrics, as well as the military population and athletes. I have experience working in neuropsychology and with concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI), anxiety, headaches, general stress management, trauma, chronic pain, and PTSD.
I am passionate about mind-body wellness and hope to share my skills and knowledge when working with clients to learn techniques that enhance their overall wellness. My scope of practice is focused on a holistic approach that pairs traditional psychotherapy with alternative therapeutic interventions, such as Biofeedback, Neurofeedback, Relaxation therapy, Mindfulness, and Hypnotherapy, as well as other somatic and trauma-informed techniques.
I also provide education and training in stress management and mindfulness for corporate staff

What people say about Marsha…
Rebecca Renshaw
LPC
I have been working in the mental health field since 2015. I started my career helping children/adolescents and their families, and over the past two years I have shifted to working with adults only. This has given me a wonderful snapshot into the different life stages and experience with meeting people where they are at to take their next steps.
I typically use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to work at responding to depressive and anxious symptoms. I also utilize CBT for insomnia and mindfulness techniques/attitudes for sleep disruption. Let's work together to make sustainable changes in mindset and approach to support growth, healing, and overall improvement.
